Maize silo project (also call maize bin project) was finished installation in Jinan City, about one hour’s drive from the factory of Taian Shelley Engineering Co., Ltd,  in August, 2017. The maize silo is hopper bottom silo.

This maize silo project is mainly composed of four parts, one 100t cone silo, one vertical bucket elevator, one horizontal conveyor and some steel structure, all of them are integrated into a maize storage silo system.

The steel maize silo is used to store maize, corn or other grains. The maize silo diameter is 4.5m and its volume is 129 m³, the steel silo ring beam height is 3.19m and its  eave height is 9.965m, the total height is 11.02m and the silo hopper angle is 45 degree. This maize storage silo can store 100ton maize, corn or millet. Generally, this type steel silo with 10 steel legs, but this customer wants to monitoring the corn weight in the silo anytime and he want to save cost, after discussion and professional calculation by the engineers from Shelley Grain Silo product development team, we deigned the steel legs to 6 units, under each steel leg, we install the weighing scale, so we can know the maize weight inside the maize silo anytime.

The maize storage silo is made of hot-galvanized steel, the maize silo roof is made of hot-dip galvanized steel plate with 275g/m² galvanizing mass, the silo body are made of corrugated steel sheets with 

275g/m² galvanizing coating. The silo bottom and silo legs are made of carbon steel with hot-dip galvanizing mass, which is 400g/m².

There is bucket elevator tower support the vertical elevator. You can climb to the top of bucket elevator through the ladder, it is very convenient to maintain the equipment. The elevator and tower are made of carbon steel with 275g/m² galvanized coating. The conveyor tube, the grain spout and the ladder around the grain spout are made of carbon steel, with 275g/m² galvanized coating; All the surface galvanized treatment of equipment is popular to customers, it has longer lifespan than surface panting treatment, and looks more beautiful.
