Cone Bottom Silo for Pellet Storage Shipping to Qatar

Cone bottom silo is also called hopper bottom silo which is the steel silo with a cone bottom. Cone bottom silo is often erected on the supporting structure to make the delicate products unloading easily through gravity. The hopper, rings and support steel are made of hot-dip galvanized steel sheet. In generally, free flowing pellet products like corn, wheat, soybean and feed pellets require the hopper bottom silo with a 45° angle while powder or other material which is hard to flow fits  60° cone bottom silo storage. The volume of Shelley Brand Cone Bottom Storage Silo ranges from 20m³ to 1,875m³.

We just shipped the Cone Bottom Silo for pellet storage to Qatar. The volume of the hopper silo is about 200m³, the cone bottom silo is used for sulphur pellet storage. Since the density(t/m³) of the sulphur pellet is a little bigger than normal pellet like corn, wheat, rice, we designed and fabricated the thicker steel sheet for this project. The cone bottom silo body, hopper silo roof and silo hopper are all made of hot-dip galvanized steel sheets. Then it will reduce the possibility of sulfur corrosion. The silo legs are made of carbon steel sheet with paint.

Paddy Storage Silo System was Shipped to Myanmar

Paddy storage silo (also called rice storage silo, paddy silo, rice silo) made with hot-dip 

galvanized steel plate is widely used for bulk paddy storage in mill plants, feed plants and 

other industries because of its long lifespan and low cost.

Our customer from Myanmar ordered 2 sets of 730m³ steel paddy storage silo and four

 grain conveyors, three grain bucket elevators for his bulk paddy storage onAugust 31^th, 2017.

Now all the galvanized steel silo parts and the buckets elevators, chain conveyors, catwalk 

for this paddy storage silo system was finished production and shipped to Myanmar through 

Ruili, Yunnan by trucks transporting.

This paddy storage silo is the kind of hopper bottom silos with 60 degree angle, the paddy silo

 is made of hot-dip galvanized steel sheet with 275g/m²coating mass, it can be used for more

 than 25 years.

Hopper Rice Steel Silos Was Successfully Run in South Korea

Hopper rice steel silos (also called cone bottom silos, hopper bottom storage bins, hopper bins) are the steel silos with a cone bottom. Hopper rice steel silos are erected on the supporting structure to make the delicate products unloading easily through gravity. Hopper silos have a smooth wall hopper transition with no steps or flanges to offer the cleanest product discharge from the silo. The stored rice inside the silo are isolated from the ground, thereby preventing humidity and allowing the interconnection of silos through tapes, facilitating perfect extraction or dosage.

Four sets rice steel silos were finished installation in South Korea after two weeks  intensive construction by 2 technicians from Shelley Engineering.

Hopper bottom steel silos are widely applied for the storage of grains (sunflower seeds, soy, maize, sorghum, rice, industrial products and other products, etc) and feed pellets for animal, poultry and fish that require special storage conditions. They can also provide temporary storage of wet grain as part of a grain drying plant and other buffer bin applications in silo plants. They are widely used in poultry farm, rice mill, flour mill, soybean-oil mill, animal feed mill plant and brewery plant.

 

Flat Bottom Grain Bin Project in Honduras

Grain bin (also called grain silo) is widely used for wheat, rice, barley and other grain storage.  The grain bin project includes 5 units of 3,500m³  flat bottom silos. Flat bottom silos are commonly used steel silos o storage bulk grains and other materials. Large volume storage is its typical feature, the storage volume of this type grain storage silo ranges from 39 m³ to 29726 m³.  Grain bin is often  erected on flat or conical concrete foundations for long-term storage of large quantities of grain, seeds, pellets and granular products, etc.  All Shelley brand flat bin for grain storage are designed, manufactured and installed in accordance with D-4097 or ASTM D-3299 standards.

Shelley Engineering had installed grain bin project in Honduras before. This grain storage bin project include 5 units of 3500m³ corn storage silos. The grain silo body is made of 275g/m² coating mass galvanized steel sheets. The grain storage Silo roof and other silo accessories are made of carbon steel with painting.

All SHELLEY Brand grain storage bin sidewall is roll-formed using high quality galvanized steel sheets. Prime high tensile steel up to 450 MPa. Thicker sidewall steel sheet allows us to provide larger silos with our designs. The capacity of Flat bottom galvanized grain silo ranges from 39 m3 to 29726 m3.

The connecting screw bolts are served with round galvanized steel washers, the connecting holes are served with age-resistant and water-proof daub belts that are for aviation special purpose. These plates and stiffeners are connected by high-strength screw bolts to keep the flat silo strong and durable. The capacity of the bucket elevator and conveyors are 200t/h, the catwalk was equipped to support the conveyor and easy for service. The sweeping auger is used for grain discharging on the grain silo bottom. We designed the full floor ventilation system for the flat bottom silos, so the corn in the grain silo could keep safety storage.
