Insulated Storage Bins Had Been Running in Myanmar for 8 Years

Insulated storage bins designed and manufactured by Shelley Engineering had been successfully running in Myanmar since 2009. These grain storage bins are used for rice, wheat, maize, corn storage, so they are called corn storage silos, rice silos, maize storage silos, corn storage silos.

The grain silo projects include 10 insulated storage silos, each capacity is 1850 m³, about 1500 tons.  The silo diameter is 11m, silo ring beam height is 6.33m, silo bin height is 23.185m, silo total height  is 25.73m, the 10 sets insulated bins were divided into two lines.

 Insulation storage bins are the steel silos with insulated system which include the silo roof, silo body and silo bottom plus the insulation part. The Insulated bin sheets include three layers, the galvanized sheet inside, the yellow part in the middle, it’s rock wool polyurethane froth, the white part outside layer, it’s colorful steel sheet.
Since the rice is fragile to handle, belt conveyors are applied to transport the rice on insulated bin roof and under steel bin bottom to prevent breakage of the rice. These 10 insulated storage bins had been put into use for over eight years till now, and they are working very well all the time.
