Paddy Steel Silo project is being installed in Canada

Paddy steel silo project in CANADA consists of 4 sets hopper bottom silos with total capacity of 1600 tons for paddy, corm, soybeans. The paddy steel silo and its auxiliary equipment were designed and manufactured by Shelley Engineering, the leading one stop steel silo solution provider from China. Now the paddy steel silo project is busy being installed by our technicians accompanied by our customer’s workers, all of them are working together as a team to finish the project.

The paddy steel silos project is composed of 4 sets of 400 tons  hopper bottom steel silos for paddy corn or soybeans. For each grain steel silo for the project, the silo diameter is 7.3m, total height is 17.48m, the silo volume is 550m3, and the silo bottom angel is 45 degrees.The silo roof and silo body sheets are made of galvanized corrugated steel sheets with 275g/m2 galvanizing. The silo bottom and silo legs are made of carbon steel with hot-dip galvanizing, which is 400g/m2 hot dip galvanizing.In the system, bucket elevator for grain vertical transportation, drag conveyor on the silos roof for horizontal transportation and double-way drag chain conveyor under the silos bottom for discharging or recycle of the grains.  Shelley Engineering arranged 4 skilled technicians to Canada for installation after three and half months hard working, it is almost finished.

Flat Bottom Silos - Shelley Brands

Flat bottom silos are commonly selected steel silos to storage bulk grains and other materials. Large volume storage is its typical feature, the storage volume of this type grain storage silo ranges from 39 m³ to 29726 m³.   They are erected on flat or conical concrete foundations for long-term storage of large quantities of grain, seeds, pellets and granular products, etc. The flat bottom grain silos are made of high quality 275g/m², 300g/m², 350g/m² hot-dip galvanizing coating steel sheets. All our flat silos are designed, manufactured and installed in accordance with D-4097 or ASTM D-3299 standards.

The Shelley Brand well assembled steel flat silos are made with high quality hot-dip galvanizing steel plates which are rolled into corrugation and made into standard connecting holes. These plates and stiffeners are connected by high-strength screw bolts to keep the flat silo strong and durable. The thickness distribution of the steel flat silo plates’ is distributed according to equal strength theory which makes the silo plates bear average stress. The vertical friction is support by the steel silo stiffeners. These stiffeners are evenly vertically distributes in the silos. The connecting screw bolts are served with round galvanized steel washers, the connecting holes are served with age-resistant and water-proof daub belts that are for aviation special purpose. The flat bottom silo is equipped with flat repairing doors, outside ladder and ladder guard rings.
